AKA and CARE Collaborate to Empower Women Worldwide on March 5

Capacity to overcome global poverty illustrated in "A Powerful Noise Live"

Alpha Kappa Alpha is partnering with CARE to advance the movement to end global poverty by hosting the showing of the film, A POWERFUL NOISE Live. A tribute to the endurance of three women from war torn areas, the movie's objective is to dramatically underscore women's resilience. A discussion follows the movie, in which panelists will share observations, insights and revelations learned from the movie.

Because of its uplifting message, AKA's international president, Barbara A. McKinzie, is urging members, and all women, to come out in force to view this movie. She pointed out that A Powerful Noise Live will only be shown on this one night—simulcast in 450 movie theaters nationwide—Thursday, March 5th, in commemoration of International Women's Day.
